Dangers of amateur fitters?

• Use the amount of fixing material that is needed ensuring that there isn’t any EXCESSIVE DAMAGE to cushions or excessive gluing to slates which can only be rectified with new cushions or scraping the slate. Scraping the slate could result in slate removal which create UNEVEN SPOTS and cause the playing surface to be uneven and IRREPARABLE.
• Excessive tightening of the cloth can lead to cushion rubber bending. This would result in the ball returning from the cushion at strange angles. Making playing or practicing very frustrating.
• Loose fitting would cause wrinkles or bed movement when playing. Involuntary movement of the balls
